Engaging in Career Long Learning

Since January I have had a number of opportunities for personal learning for my career. I have taken place in weekly collaborative times with the other grade 6 teacher at my practicum. I have had a number of people in to watch lessons in order to give me feedback. I have focused a significant amount of my time in developing a safe and welcoming classroom. During teacher's conference I went to a number of seminars on how to effectively bring First Nations, Metis, and Inuit teachings into my classroom.

I have also taken some PD this year to better learn about and incorporate Minecraft in my classroom.

This certification has allowed me to leverage a technology with an incredibly high engagement value during my practicum. I have had the opportunity to use it a number of times during this practicum. I have also been running Minecraft Club in multiple classrooms throughout the week during lunchtime recesses.
