An Inclusive Classroom

My teaching philosophy has always been centered around the idea of a warm and welcoming classroom. I believe that it is the teacher's responsibility to ensure all students are at home in the classroom. If a single student does not feel comfortable it is up to the teacher to find a solution for that. This year I have also added the idea of 'if a student can they will' to my teaching philosophy. I believe that all students have an underlying want to be successful. If they are not being successful or are struggling with those goals it is not because they are not capable, but because they are not sure how to proceed. It is up to the teacher to guide students to the skills that they need.
